Base: The base that the Globe sits on.
Globe: The jar that holds the liquid, Lava, and Coil.
Coil: The metal spring that breaks the surface tension in the lava so that the lava can combine with with other blobs at the bottom of the globe.
Cap: The bottle cap that seals the globe.
Capper: The top piece that goes on top of the globe. Lamps made before 1990 used screw on cappers that did not require bottle caps.
Liquid: The liquid in the globe that the lava flows in.
Lava: The waxy material that flows in the liquid.
Goo: Another name for lava.
Motion Lamp: Knock-off brands use the name Motion Lamp because Lava Lamp is a copyrighted term.
